Bio

Artist and illustrator Sherri Lemire is a Florida native with a gypsy heart.  Sherri jokingly remarks that 'she has left a trail of art debris in her wake as she tripped around the world'.  In the end, she found that Florida makes an excellent starting point for any adventures that might lie ahead. 

Sherri completed her bachelor’s at
Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, FL.  She then enjoyed a career in graphic design and gallery staging.  After 20 years in the industry, she has set off independently and she is now
self-employed as a freelance artist.

Sherri's work is painterly in style, reminiscent of Impressionistic oil sketches; rich with color and exuberant brush-work. Her compo­­sitions are intimate and eclectic, and her drawings are slightly graphic, reflecting her years as a designer. 

Her subjects are often International in cultural flavor, frequently featuring goddesses, femmes, and dancers.  Sherri offers custom artwork, and she enjoys collaborating with clients on commissioned pieces.
